Golden Krust

Does anyone have a Golden Krust Carribean Baker and Grill by them.

I tried it today for lunch. First I like to say the food is good, but the place was poorly run.

I Sell all different kinds of Patties which is basically, beef, Chicken or whatever they have cooked inside a Krust. I wanted the Beef. They had zero patties prepared at lunch time. So I had to come up with a new game plan. I got the Jerk Chicken. It was good, spicy, it came with sides of rice and vegetbales, and I got something called a rock cake with is very tasty.

Besides the not having any Patty's there, they people were super slow, there was no organization, lines went this way and that way, plus the girl helping me didn't give me my cups for the soda, I had to reach and get them myself.

I want to try those beef patties but with the service I don't know if I'm going back.

We don't have them here..too bad the service was sucky.Bad service would make me not want to go back to a place..but the chicken you had sounds good!

I have never heard of that but it sounds pretty good. It sounds similar to Pollo Tropical that we have around here.

The first one they opened in this part of FL was in the new Pinellas Park mall and Gina and I tried it out. It was the complete opposite to your experience Ant; the service was GREAT but the food was cold, no taste and HORRIBLE. I thought for sure after waiting in that long ass line that the food would be nice and hot but hell no

according to their webside www.goldenkrustbakery.com there is one location in St. Petersburg, probably the closest one to you floridians

Ahh, That stinks, Anthony.. Maybe if u give them another shot..They might be better.

Is it new to your area? Maybe they still got to "iron out the kinks" ???

It is new but not brand new. I've seen it months, maybe even a year, but always figured it was just a bakery, no meal food. So I think they've had enough time to get things in order.

They also have the smallest parking lot

So I went back today, service was better, a little slow but no Chaos. They had the beef patties and they were very good.

Just the name makes me laugh...reminds me of Krusty the Clown.
