New Tanning Industry Survey for Undergraduate Business Project

Hi guys,

My name is Mike and I am doing a business plan project for a class at the UCSD Rady School of Management. I have a hypothetical product that is related to the tanning industry and I need over 100 surveys to complete my market research to decide if this is a "go or no go product" for my final presentation/write up.

I have a 10 question survey that takes 5 mins tops and would appreciate if you would take it.

This is the class I am in and taking:

Near term goals: to use this class since I have a science background to leverage as experience to leave lab bench work and get a job in biotech/pharma in marketing or other business related positions.

Long term goals: For now, top 15 business school. Northwestern -Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Duke- Fuqua, UPenn- Wharton, Dartmouth - Tuck are my top choices.

MGT 111 Business: Introduction to Technology Business Startup Process
Special Summer Session 2007

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Critical to the success of a technology product is its fit to the needs of a sufficient number of potential users. Students will examine the needs of the market, define and articulate potential product ideas to meet those needs and research the market to see if these ideas are true opportunities. With guidance and coaching, participants are responsible for learning by:

* Analysis, decision making, and discussion of case descriptions of actual startup companies (mostly technology-based)
* Identifying and investigating (including interviews) an opportunity to start a technology-based company, and completing a "Technology Business Opportunity Recognition and Evaluation Project Report"

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Participants will expand their capabilities by:

* Gaining understanding and insights into the overall process of idea to market to harvest
* Identifying customer needs and developing value propositions
* Recognizing, screening, and evaluating new business opportunities
* Designing and communicating business concepts/models, competitive advantage
* Projecting market demand, profit potential, and resources required
* Assessing risks related to rewards
* Evaluating growth strategies, valuations, and harvesting possibilities
* Appraising roles as internal corporate or independent entrepreneurs or advisors

PREREQUISITES
Upper division standing or higher.
